IDEA
NOMO was officially founded in 2021 by Alexandra Grypari and Sofia Zisimou. Their common path began through the creative collaboration and design of the innovative Tinos Virtual Museum project. This experience highlighted the need for the creation of a permanent, institutional vehicle that could bridge the rich local tradition of the Greek region with contemporary international artistic practice and cutting-edge research. Through experimental processes, interdisciplinary workshops, international artistic residency programs and educational activities, the organization has managed to transform the island region into a center for the production of contemporary culture.
PILLARS
The organization's work is organically structured around five interconnected

● Synergy: Connecting disciplines and communities with an emphasis on cultural extroversion.
● Sustainability: Commitment to controlling and balancing the environmental footprint of actions (e.g. through the Compensate application).
● Development: Integrating cutting-edge technologies into creative research.
● Cultural Heritage: Reinterpreting and highlighting the intangible and tangible heritage of culture.
