This educational program aims for children to learn about metals as raw materials, the art of metallurgy and metalwork from antiquity to the present, and the connection of metals to various forms of art through the work of Eduardo Chillida. A parallel goal is to familiarize them with the functions and purposes of a museum as a space for non-formal education, where stimuli and complementary knowledge are provided in combination with each class’s curriculum. Through different sensory experiences (visual, tactile), as well as individual and group activities, the program aims to foster both cognitive and emotional development in the participants.
The design and implementation of the educational program is part of the Fe26 project, supported by the Ministry of Culture under no.: ΥΠΠΟΑ/332212/29-01-2021, by the NWMW NPO organization.
