On May 2, 2023, NWMW NPO presented the third Focus outrech event of the “Inherited Earth” residency program at the “Yiannoulis Halepas” Cultural Center in Panormos, Tinos.
The event was organized with the participation of academic researchers to introduce the participating artists and researchers to the island’s unique geological landscape, within which they were invited to create. Dr. Konstantinos Soukis, a geologist, and researchers Vasiliki Anelavvi and Alkis Sideridis presented the geological distinctiveness of the island’s Exo Meria region through particularly interesting thematic modules related to rocks, archaeometry, and the use of Tinos marble from antiquity to the present day.
